Workshops
I teach design thinking workshops around the country. All workshops (except design sprints) can be tailored to be between 3 hours and a full day. Workshops can be conducted remotely or onsite. Contact me for pricing details.
Intro to design thinking
In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of design thinking through a simple framework and will apply it to a design exercise. Participants will come away with a new toolkit they can use to apply to problems within their own organization.
Advanced design thinking
In this workshop, participants will learn the fundamental principles behind a design process. Through a series of real world scenarios, participants will practice applying these principles to adapt design thinking to their organizations specific constraints and needs.
User research and synthesis
In this workshop, participants will learn to plan and conduct user research and usability testing, as well as methods for how to make sense of the results. Participants will learn simple frameworks, tools, and methods they can bring back to their organization to get a user research program up and running.
Design sprints
In a design sprint, we’ll take a current challenge your team is facing and apply a condensed design process to help you make rapid progress, from forming a shared point of view through testing your ideas with users. Participants will come away with a deeper understanding of the design process, work artifacts, and next steps to continue their momentum back at the office. This workshop requires a minimum of two days and 1 month of lead time to plan.
